In this phase of the treatment, the best embryos obtained in the previous phases are transferred within the patient’s uterus, always guided by ultrasound equipment, in a procedure that lasts no more than 15 minutes.
The embryo transfer is painless and does not require sedation. The patient has to follow previously a hormone treatment to increase the positive outcome of the transfer and the chances of pregnancy. The developed embryos that are not transferred can be cryopreserved and if the patient does not become pregnant they can be used for future transfers without the need of another ovary function stimulation.
After thirty minutes of rest the patient can go back to normal daily activity.
